CCFIT 2022 Summer Challenge

Hello hello, and happy (almost) summer!! I hope you’re all getting outside and enjoying this beautiful weather.

We took a break over the spring, but I’m pumped to announce that we’re bringing a 6-week challenge BACK this summer! Join me starting Monday, June 6th to kick things off. I couldn’t be more excited!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
☀ This challenge will start on June 6th and end on July 17th
☀ There will be both a gym version and an at-home version
☀ You don’t need to “sign up” or “enroll” – all you need to do is get a premium subscription to the app, and start the workouts alongside everyone else on June 6th
☀ Though it is not required, we recommend joining the facebook group for the challenge (linked here). This is a safe space for you to connect with other people joining the challenge, ask questions, get advice, and chat with me (I’ll be active in the group along with you all!)
☀ If you want to be considered for prizes at the end, don’t forget to take a “before” photo on June 6th to submit at the end of the challenge
☀ At the end of the challenge, you will submit your before & after photos, as well as a testimonial about your experience, to teamcc@justtempo.com
☀ Don’t put too much emphasis on having a crazy physical transformation – your overall health and mindset throughout the challenge are considered when picking winners as well! This is why your testimonial is so important.

OTHER THINGS TO KNOW

Progress photos: Although we do require before/after photos to be submitted to be considered for a prize, I want to be clear that you do NOT need to show a drastic physical transformation in order to win. There are so many benefits to sticking with a workout for a program for 6 weeks other than appearances – elevated energy levels, mental clarity, heart health, better sleep, and the list goes on. These things, as well as your mental health and mindset, are a million times more important, which is why we read every single testimonial and weigh them even more heavily than your photos when choosing winners.
Please follow these guidelines for taking progress photos:
– Try to wear the same, or similar garments in both photos
– Nohting high waisted
– Include photos from the same front, back, and side

Diet: In order to get the most effective results, I recommend calculating your macros here, and tracking them with an app like MyFitnessPal or Lose It. If you have had an eating disorder in the past or struggle with one currently, I highly recommend eating intuitively rather than tracking your macros. If you have never tracked your macros before, I have an IGVT Series on my Instagram page called “Fat Loss” that explains how to do so in detail. Don’t be discouraged by the title of the series if you’re trying to build muscle – the same techniques can be used to gain muscle! Your macros will simply change based on your goals when you input them into the macro calculator.

Equipment: The equipment you’ll need for the at-home version will be dumbbells, short and long loop resistance bands, a chair, and a mat, although most exercises can be modified. If you have any questions about modifications, the Facebook is a great resource to ask those!

Building Muscle vs. Cutting Fat: Whether you build muscle or lose fat during this challenge will completely depend on your goals. Your diet plays a huge part in whether you lose fat or gain muscle. Whatever your goals are, make sure you adjust your macros and cardio accordingly. Click here to calculate your macros!

Missing workouts: If you have to miss a workout, that’s okay! Life happens, and it can be hard to maintain motivation or find the time to workout sometimes. Just make sure to pick back up where you left off. One thing to note is that your progress photos will be due on February 20th no matter what, so if you miss some workouts you may have to end up submitting your “After” photos before you’re actually done with the workouts.

If you have any other questions about the challenge or the app, email them to teamcc@justtempo.com!

Whether you’re looking to kick-start your fitness journey, or just to try out a new 6-week program, I hope you’ll join me in our 2022 Winter Challenge.

HOW TO JOIN
Joining the challenge is easy – all you need in order to participate is to sign up for a subscription to the CCFIT app. You do not need to do anyhting special to “enroll” or “sign up” for the challenge – just sign up for the app itself, and the workouts will be uploaded there for all paid users to view prior to the start date of Monday, January 10th.

CCFIT 2021 Fall Challenge

Hi friends!! It’s so crazy to me that summer is already over and we’re already starting to see fall weather peek through (at least up here in Michigan!). I’ve enjoyed these challenges so much that we’re going to keep the ball rolling with this Fall 2021 challenge – I hope you’re as excited as I am!

Since many people still aren’t back at the gym, there are going to be 2 versions of the challenge just like last time – one for gym-goers, and one for those working out at home. Both programs will be 8 weeks long, and will have 4 workouts per week. The workouts themselves will be published into the app a few days before the challenge starts, so check back here soon to take a look at what’s in store! The challenge will begin on Monday, October 11th.

Just like always, there is nothing you have to specifically do to “sign up” for the challenge – all you have to do is subscribe to the app, start the workouts with everyone else on Monday the 11th, and join the facebook group here (this part is optional!). If you want to be considered for a prize at the end, make sure to remember to take your “before” photo before you start the workouts, and that (plus doing the workouts, of course) is all you have to do until the challenge is over on Sunday, December 5th!

To be eligible to compete for a prize, make sure to send your before + after photos and a short testimonial about your experience throughout the challenge to teamcc@justtempo.com AFTER the challenge is over on Sunday, November 21st. I also want to mention that although we do require before and after photos to help judge winners, these are not the only thing that goes into selecting said winners. Mental progress and mental health are just as, if not more important than, physical progress, so please don’t fret if your before / after photos don’t show drastic changes. This is what your testimonial is for! I recommend writing down what your goals are for the challenge before starting so you can reflect back on them when the challenge is over.

Your before/after photos must meet the following criteria:
–    Similar attire in both photos
–    Nothing high waisted
–    The same back, front, and side angles in both photos, send in 3 separate pic-stitches

In order to get the most effective results (for whatever your goals are!) I recommend calculating your macros here, and tracking them with an app like MyFitnessPal or Lose It. If you have never tracked your macros before, I have an IGVT Series on my Instagram page called “Fat Loss” that explains how to do so in detail. Don’t be discouraged by the title of the series if you’re trying to bulk – the same techniques can be used to gain muscle! Your macros will simply change based on your goals when you input them into the macro calculator. If you have had an eating disorder in the past or struggle with one currently, I highly recommend eating intuitively rather than tracking your macros.

At Home Mini Spring Challenge

Hi babes! I’m so excited to be starting my first ever at home challenge with you all!

Things will be a little bit different this time around, as I won’t be creating a guide specifically for the challenge like I have in the past. Instead, you can follow either the Get Fit At Home guide or the Work From Home guide starting on Monday, May 4th through Sunday, June 14th!

To be eligible to win a prize at the end, make sure to send your before + after pictures and a short testimonial about your experience to teamcc@justtempo.com when the challenge is over on Sunday, June 14th. I recommend writing down what your goals are for the challenge before starting so you can reflect back on them when the challenge is over.

Your progress photos must meet the following criteria:

  • Similar attire in both photos
  • Preferably nothing high waisted
  • The same back, front, and side angles in both photos, sent in 3 separate pic-stitches

To get the most effective results, I recommend calculating your macros using this calculator, unless you have had an eating disorder in the past or struggle with one currently, in which case I recommend just eating intuitively.

I also recommend joining the facebook group for the challenge here, where you can connect with other girls doing the challenge and support one another! I’ll also be active in the group answering questions and supporting you all throughout the challenge.

FAQ:

How do I enroll?

All you need is a regular subscription to the app! Then, you’ll follow either the Get Fit At Home guide or the Work From Home guide for the 6 weeks the challenge is going on.

Which guide should I choose?

The available guides are similar in their level of difficulty, and differ from one another mainly in their structure and the equipment used. Get Fit At Home utilizes dumbbells, a short looped resistance band, a chair, and a mat or carpet. Work From Home still utilizes dumbbells, a chair, and short resistance bands, but also incorporates more exercises with long resistance bands if you have them. Work From Home is also set up for 4 workouts a week where Get Fit At Home is set up for 5, but you can modify Get Fit At Home to be 4 days a week if you want by adding in some tricep exercises on back days.

Is this challenge designed for building muscle or losing fat?

This totally depends on your goals! Personally, I’m not using this challenge to lose weight, but to stay active during this quarantine and to ideally maintain my current muscle. Whatever your goals, make sure you adjust your macros and cardio accordingly. The calculator linked above can help you do so.

Do I have to join the Facebook group?

It is not required, but if you have a Facebook it is highly recommended. It’s a place where you can chat with other girls to stay motivated, and ask me questions directly if you need to.

What if I have to miss some workouts during the challenge?

That’s okay! Life happens, and it can be hard to stay motivated or find the time to workout while you’re trapped at home. Just make sure to pick back up where you left off. One thing to note is that your progress photos will be due on June 14th no matter what, so if you miss some workouts you may have to end up submitting your “After” photos before you’re actually done with the workouts.

If you have any other questions about the challenge or the app, email them to teamcc@justtempo.com!

CCFIT USER RESULT: SAVANNA M.

“First of all, wow! My transformation in 4 weeks is amazing. I was consistent with her workouts and my nutrition was on key! I can’t wait to start another group of workouts on the app. I am getting married in a year and I have no doubt I can have my dream body with this app! Thank you thank you thank you!!

I have been using the CCFIT app for about 6 months now and I could not be more pleased. I now have confidence when I go to workout. I review what I am doing that day and I go in and crush it. I no longer feel or look like I’m lost at the gym. Cristina lays it all out for you. I have used other guide’s prior to her app, and this is by far my favorite! I am more motivated now than I have ever been, and I love that it’s so user friendly. There are so many different workouts, I never get bored and can always switch it up.

I really enjoy her content and she is always super helpful when I ask questions. I have and will continue to recommend the CCFIT app to my friends and anyone who wants to better themselves. It’s perfect for beginners and the more experienced. I could go on and on. Thank you, Cristina!! I finally have confidence in my body and at the gym.”
